Poem: The Way Snow Drifts

The Way Snow Drifts

in feathered ferns
unfurling
along the fieldstone wall

hover above
clouds suspended
in limbs of tall birches

along the wind at our backs
ghosting over
our footfalls.

"The Way Snow Drifts" first appeared in the microchapbook, "Postcards from the Solstice," published by Origami Poems Project.

Poetry Reading at Hera Gallery Feb. 10th

Please join me and RI Poet Laureate Lisa Starr as we read from our collections at the kickoff of the Poetry Reading Series at Hera Gallery, 327 Main Street in Wakefield.  Feb. 10th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. I'll be reading from my chapbook collection, No Longer Always (coming soon from Finishing Line Press).

If you like poetry, or even if you're not sure if you do, I believe you'll enjoy this reading. Lisa and I both enjoy writing poetry that captures the funny, poignant and surprising moments of every day life.

It's poetry about real life by real people, for real people.  Here's the link to the Facebook page:

Walking the mill village at dusk

If only life was so simple and quiet as a walk with the dogs in the snow at dusk. The stone house on the left is mine.
